Amazing Nova Scotia experience. Never bought live lobster before and the owners were great and helped me through the whole process. Securely packaged our 4 lobsters and it was some of the best Lobster we've had. Price was fair too!

Ryers now ONLY sell live lobsters. They provide a box and wrap the lobsters with damp paper and a frozen gel pack.IMPORTANT: They no longer offer cooked lobster so you can’t eat there.

Great Lobster great place

Great, friendly service. We had never cooked live lobster before and the staff were very helpful explaining how to cook and eat it. They were very patient with all our questions. Definitely recommend!

This place was fabulous. We ate outside with water view, the best lobster I've eaten in a long time and for the price can't be beat. If you're looking for just lobster and nothing fancy, this place is a must when down the Peggy's Cove area. Would definitely recommend!

Very good there are a family own

When we first moved to the area, Ryer's was the first place I ever went to buy a Lobster. The family here takes care of every customer with exceptional attention to detail. You will learn everything about lobsters. They even prepare handy take home sheets for your lobster cooking! Excellent, fresh and friendly.

The owners were very kind, professional, and passionate about their jobs. They took the time to explain the history of the lobster culture to us, and did a great job packaging the lobsters.We bought 4 lobsters in total, 5.5lbs, they survived 6 hours in a car, 6 more in flight, and then another whole day in the fridge before we cooked em.Fantastic experience.

Decent prices with super friendly staff. Went there as we'd heard that they have fresh cooked lobster only on site. Gentleman there explained to me that they stopped doing that a few months back but gave me a list of restaurants that buy his lobster. Had a bit of a friendly conversation and he directed us to the place he thought we'd like the best; "Shaw's Landing". Shook his hand and he wished us a safe visit.

If lobster is what you're after, this is the place to get it! They only have lobster, oysters and some soft drinks. You pay by weight for the lobster. Pick out the one you want and they will cook it for you on the spot and serve it in a big plastic tray with drawn butter and a plastic bib - which you'll need! As fresh as it gets and a great authentic NS setting down by the water.

Great fresh lobsters 5 min from Peggy's cove.A little shack by the road but very fresh lobsters (very active off the tank). To go or boiled in the spot with good butter, takes about twenty minutes. Cost is by weight. Basic tables but you're going there for the lobsters!They do not service buses.

This store offers a reasonable selection of seafood. Of particular note is their lobster. They are right by the ocean and circulate fresh seawater through their tanks, so the lobster is as fresh as possible. This compared to grocery stores where they circulate the same water over and over. The prices are competitive but not outstanding.

Still open for purchasing live lobster, however they stopped selling cooked lobster in 2017.

Loved the view at the side of the house facing the water. The lobsters were absolutely fresh and goes well with the melted butter. Husband and wife were great showing the crowd the various types of lobsters. An incredible experience

I have been to Ryers 2 years in a row.the lobsters and service is great. This year I will have to order lobsters and have them airfreighted

Awesome Lobster! Only lobster served hear....and it's fresh! They also have some very interesting genetic color variations in live lobsters that they will gladly show off. There are some beautiful seascapes behind the building not to be missed.

Freshly cooked lobster at a great price while you wait, exceptionally well tasting. The gentlemam who served us was fantastic - explained us patiently and with a smile how to dress the lobster in order to enjoy it. Recommended!

A traditional Lobster Pound

At the time we went, they were no longer allowed to serve cooked lobster :(Lobster was so fresh and sold at a good price. Customer service was also excellent.

Best lobster in town. Friendly staff, great views. Only downside is the portable washroom. Seating are comfy tables and no wait at all in terms of a line up. Takes a few minutes for food but absolutely fresh. My third time here and would recommend it. A must see!

We were visiting from out of province and happen to find this place Super friendly staff and the lobster prices were very good. I also found out that they will ship lobsters to me in Ontario which is a huge bonus.

Great couple that runs the shop. They know their lobsters. They only sell live lobsters and at a good price. I would definitely return.I post honest reviews and pictures of places we visit. Give me a like if you find it helpful.

We were there a week ago and found it was one of the best parts of our vacation. People there were very helpful and nice to talk to. Only regret is we should of had more lobster, my family loved it and we will definitely will go back for another holiday when my sweetheart retires! Thanks CrankyHank

10 mins away from the Peggys cove lighthouse. Definitely worth the quick stop. You can choose to eat the lobster there or take away, and they cook it for you right there! Excellent prices, and we had oysters while we waited. Will definitely come back for more.

They don't cook lobster there anymore unfortunately.

On your way to or from Peggy's Cove make sure you drop in here to buy some amazing fresh lobster at this lovely mom and pop store. Many weights from 1lb upwards. They provide ice packs for the drive home. They will give you instructions on how to cook your lobster and almost definitely show you their prize catch!

Had Lobster and Mussels there 3 years ago. Friendly service, excellent seafood, great value for your money and a wonderful maritime experience. Love the staff at Reyers and the province of Nova Scotia.

Yummy lobster but poor service. Place wasn't busy when I came in. Took a while for someone to talk to me. Lady at the counter had an attitude and made me feel like I was in the wrong place. I told her it was my first time eating here and she was very unhelpful and just stared at me. Then I asked if she recommended anything and she said "No! I don't recommend anything". So I asked her to show me the different lobster sizes which she did but seemed like I was a bother. There was no line and only 6 people sitting outside eating. I felt very unwelcome. Regardless I stayed and ordered a lobster. The lobster was delicious and very well cooked. I do recommend eating here if you are looking for a tasty lobster. The place is simple. You can sit outside overlooking the ocean or the road. The lobster will come in a plastic container and you will be given a bib, paper plate and some utensils.
